BSBIOS and Emater firm partnership for the development of Canola


On Wednesday afternoon (17/03), at Emater, BSBIOS Indústria e Comércio de Biodiesel Sul Brasil SA and Associação Riograndense de Empreendimentos de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural - Emater/RS signed a term of technical cooperation for the development of biodiesel productive chain, with emphasis, canola. The chief executive officer of BSBIOS Erasmo Carlos Battistella, the chairman of Emater Mário Augusto Ribas do Nascimento, the Secretário Estadual de Agricultura, Pecuária e Agronegócio, João Carlos Fagundes Machado and the ex-Minister da Agricultura e Abastecimento Marcus Vinícius Pratini de Moraes signed the document.

The term aims at technical cooperation for the development of joint actions for the implementation of the input project, divulgation and organization of canola crop, offering alternative for the development with adequate protection to the environment through integration of all people involved. For the chief executive officer of BSBIOS Erasmo Carlos Battistella, what we wish is to strengthen the productive chain through diversification. "For us it is an honor to make the signature of this partnership with Emater, which is a very important institution, through it we would like to join forces in order to encourage and provide technical knowledge for the production of canola in our region", he said.

For the chairman of Emater Mário Augusto Ribas do Nascimento, the agreement is very important, "a hundred technicians will be trained for the divulgation of the crop in the region in partnership with BSBIOS, aiming at providing raw material for the production of biodiesel". He still asserted that "the world needs bioenergy for the environmental preservation and BSBIOS is responsible for helping to reduce pollutant gases through the production of biodiesel, and above all it aggregates value, enhancing farmers", he emphasized.

Ex-Minister of Agricultura e Abastecimento Marcus Vinícius Pratini de Moraes, said to be happy to be present at this event, "I was the author of the first alcohol project in Brazil, I provide support to biodiversity and initiatives like the ones of BSBIOS show other options of renewable fuel through efficient solutions, congratulations to BSBIOS for innovating and enhancing vegetable oil crops raw material", he said.

Secretário Estadual de Agricultura, Pecuária e Agronegócio, João Carlos Fagundes Machado, emphasized that the government of the state encourages and supports initiatives like the ones of BSBIOS, in the production of renewable energy.
