BSBIOS receives award for being among the 100 largest companies of the state

BSBIOS receives on Friday evening (28), at the Centro de Eventos do Plaza São Rafael in Porto Alegre, an honor by figuring in the ranking of the 100 largest companies in Rio Grande do Sul. In this edition, the biodiesel industry of Passo Fundo holds the 64th position in the ranking in the state. Last year it was in the 96th. This happened because of the expressive increase of 40% in the revenue, the Weighted Mean changed from R$ 125 million to R$ 211 million between 2008 and 2009. The ranking has been based on the data of 2009.

To the Chief Executive Officer Erasmo Carlos Battistella, who represented the company at the award ceremony, this is the recognition of the work we have accomplished. "It is an honor to receive this award, although we have been earning on the market for three years, this is the second time we figure in the ranking. We are happy to be among the 100 largest companies of the state and observe that, at every year, we are showing better results. We hope to continue to follow this path", he emphasized. Battistella still highlighted the ranking of the largest companies in the South of Brazil, published by Magazine Amanhã, where BSBIOS takes the 156th position, while in the last edition it was in the 241st.

The award ceremony that is in its 20th edition is promoted by Magazine Amanhã, which is specialized in economy and business, and by PricewatherhouseCoopers. To the ranking, the Weighted Mean (WM) is taken into account, an exclusive indicator to assess the strength of the companies - and which fits patrimony (with 50%), revenue (40%) and profit (10%).
