About Be8
Omega Green will be the first second-generation advanced biofuel plant in the
Southern Hemisphere. The
facility will produce, from organic raw materials, like vegetable oils and animal fats, renewalbe aviation fuel SPK (Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene) - also known as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) -
renewable diesel HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), and Green Naphtha, used in the chemical industry to manufacture green plastics, among other products. The capacity will be 20,000 barrels per day of HVO and/or SPK.
Another planned product is Green LPG, a renewable gas produced from organic raw materials such as vegetable oils and animal fats, identical to traditional liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). One of the major advantages of this gas is that it can be used in the same cylinders, with the same infrastructure, and in the same appliances that households already use for liquefied gas.
The project is located on a 400‑hectare site, 45 km from Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. The area will include 120 hectares of Permanent Preservation Area (APP), maintaining the identity of the existing biome. Investment in the project is expected to exceed USD 1 billion — the largest private investment in the history of Paraguay — and enable operations to begin in 2027.
