The quality of Be8 BeVant biofuel is certified in Europe by SGS, a leading certification company

Company, technical partner of Be8, validated the renewable solution during Hannover Messe 2026.

SGS, a global certification company for fuels and Be8’s technical partner, validated the quality of the Be8 BeVant® biofuel in vehicles in Europe. Samples of the Brazilian solution were compared in laboratory tests with 20 other fuels of the same type. The results of the analysis were announced at the ApexBrasil booth during Hannover Messe 2026 by Be8’s Director of Energy Transition and Institutional Relations, Camilo Adas, and SGS Sustainability Business Manager, Heiko Sepulveda. ‘Be8 BeVant® is the quality benchmark among all the products evaluated,’ said the SGS representative.

According to Adas, the current drive to seek renewable alternatives in the European continent resonates with Brazil’s experience. "In the past, Brazil also had to find new paths, and this movement is now being repeated in Europe", he said. He added that the energy transition must be plural, combining routes such as hydrogen and electrification with solutions that are already available. "It is necessary to come to Germany and work in partnership with local companies", he stated.

Decarbonization of Europe

At the Siemens booth, Camilo Adas also took part as a guest speaker in the panel "Connecting Brazil’s renewable potential to Europe’s decarbonization needs", which brought together executives and experts to discuss synergies between Brazil’s energy potential and Europe’s decarbonization demands. Among the audience was Siemens Brasil CEO, Pablo Fava.

During his participation, Camilo emphasized that biofuels are an accessible technology that is already well established in terms of practical application, noting that Brazil has accumulated nearly half a decade of experience with this type of input at scale and in continuous use. According to Camilo, Brazil can harvest up to three grain crops per year and is able to produce food and energy at the same time.

Biofuel to replace fossil diesel

At Hannover Messe, Be8 presented Be8 BeVant® as a direct-application biofuel capable of fully replacing fossil diesel without the need for adaptations to engines or infrastructure. At the booth, a Mercedes-Benz Actros truck fueled with the product was displayed following tests conducted at Daimler Truck’s proving ground in Wörth, Germany. The vehicle demonstrated performance equivalent to conventional diesel and the potential to reduce approximately 99% of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions on a tank-to-wheel basis, reinforcing BeVant®’s viability as an immediate solution for the decarbonization of heavy-duty transport.

The initiative is part of Be8’s strategy to expand in the European market based on industrial cooperation, technical validation and the practical application of solutions that are already available, positioning Be8 BeVant® as a concrete alternative in the global energy transition.
